Spring was a very important season for the Etruscans, who celebrated it with festivals and rituals dedicated to the rebirth of nature and fertility. According to the Etruscan calendar, the spring equinox corresponded to March 20 or 21 and was called Thesan Tins, the dawn of Tinia, the main Etruscan deity.
On this occasion, the Etruscans paid homage to the goddess Flora, protector of flowers and vegetation, who according to mythology originated from the Etruscan deity Feronia.
The Etruscans organized processions, sacrifices, banquets, games, and competitions in honor of Flora, and adorned themselves with garlands and wreaths of flowers. The festival of Flora was also a moment of joy and sensuality, in which passions and amorous senses were exalted.
We have prepared for you the festival of Flora with reenactment, theatrical narration, visits, and explanations of sacred places, celebrating spring inspired by the Etruscan culture.

- Visit and entrance to the Madonna dell’Olivo Necropolis and the Queen’s Cave
